Emory Healthcare (EHC) Hospitalists are board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine physicians who specialize in caring for hospitalized patients.
How does an EHC Hospitalist benefit you?
EHC Hospitalists work as a team to ensure patients and their families receive appropriate, high-quality and safe care. We keep you informed about your care in the hospital. Emory Hospitalists are on site 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year to make sure you get the best care.
What can I expect during my hospital stay?
- Daily visits by the EHC Hospitalist
- Frequent communication with nursing and other hospital staff
- Caregivers who will answer your questions and concerns
- Family meeting(s) regarding your care facilitated by a
Hospitalist (if needed)
- Communication between the EHC Hospitalist team and
your primary care physician
What can I expect when I leave the hospital?
- Transfer of appropriate records to your primary care physician
- Prescriptions for all necessary medications
- Help scheduling follow-up appointments
- Help with any general concerns or billing questions
